The crisp, cool wind blew gently through his flowing light brown hair.   He sighed, he never wished to see days like this again.   The battle had been horrific, so many souls are lost forever on the hills he stood upon.   The edge of his sword stained with the blood of countless men, there lifeless bodies littering the ground before him.

Only he was left of the men he had fought with, and for them, a lone warrior.   She stood there, her long blonde hair stained with the blood of those she had slain, She watched him, the cold raging inferno blazing in her eyes.   She charged, the last of her opponents just waiting to be slaughtered.   He lowered his blade as she rushed, "Please stop this my dove." his voice whispered.   But it was to late, already her blade was thrust through his heart, her eyes widened when she realized who this man was.   "No...." her voice gasped as he dropped into her arms, his life slowly beginning to fade away.   "Why did you have to be here....why you my heart?" she whispered, her eyes filling with tears.   His hand slowly reached up to touch her cheek, his eyes twinkling with the coming light of dawn.   "My dove....I came for you...."   With his final act of strength he took her hand, and wrapped her fingers around the hilt of his weapon, then he smiled weakly, "My heart..."

His body fell lifeless in her arms, her tears staining the his cheeks as she held him tightly, never wanting to forget.   The memories of the time she had shared with her now fallen love, the joys, the pains, the tears, all the peaceful times they held one another in the night.   Slowly the sun began to rise, and just as the new light began to shine, so to was she reborn.   No longer the hunter and slayer of her enemies, thanks to the kindness of her fallen love.   Thanks to his mercy shown to her, she was reborn, forgiven.   She stood, clenching his final gift tighting in her hands as he stoof facing the dawn.   She smiled softly and whispered "For you my heart, will I live...."
A short story I thought up awhile back.

Though with my computer dying I had to re-write it and I'm not as happy with it this time, but please enjoy.

It was meant to show just how much the love for someone can change them.
